Responsibilities and duties for Decorations chair 

  • Chair shall attend all meetings of the Meeting/Convention Committee and keep the Convention Chair advised of all progress/problems.
  • Work within approved budget utilizing as many donated goods as possible.
  • Help to coordinate the theme with all committees.
  • Decorations include give away centerpieces for the luncheon tables, working within the theme.
  • Organize the centerpiece give-away and announce during the luncheon.
  • Tables can also include a favor at each place and/or door prize (if desired).
  • Additional decorations can be placed in the hospitality, registration and meeting rooms, sleeping rooms, and elsewhere in the hotel.
  • Coordinate cleanup and removal of decorations after each activity.
  • Work with the Prize Drawing Chairperson to send thank you letters to all donors (if applicable, tax receipts).
  • Supply a list of all donors (including members) to Program Booklet Chair one month prior to your event.
  • Record all expenses and submit for reimbursement as necessary by deadline.
  • File final report by deadline set by Convention Chair.
