Show, Tell and Sell

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Chair shall attend all meetings of the Meeting/Convention committee and keep the convention chair advised of all progress/problems.
  • Coordinate and request a layout of the Show, Tell and Sell facilities for the Meeting/Convention with NCA’s Meeting Manager.
  • All member clubs are guaranteed the first spaces at Show, Tell and Sell if they submit a reservation form by the deadline.
  • Use sample form for Show, Tell and Sell application.  Alter contact information and include in registration packet.
  • All items sold during Show, Tell and Sell by member clubs must be handmade and/or multiple- related.  If any items sold on your table are not handmade or multiple-related, the individual member fee – not the club member fee -- will apply.
  • Vendors may be included at the discretion of the hosting club.  Vendors are only permitted on a space available basis once all member clubs and member individual requests have been met.  Make sure businesses are licensed and legitimate, and not selling illegal knock-offs.
  • Submit copies of all Show, Tell & Sell application forms to the Meeting Planner for review within a week of receipt deadline.
  • All clubs and vendors should be made aware that the NCA Board has the discretion to disallow any item being sold at Show, Tell and Sell.
  • Table size is determined by the hotel and requests cannot be guaranteed.
  • Any vendors with special requests (e.g., electrical outlet, wall display, free-standing displays) should be contacted for specifics.  Special requests cannot be guaranteed.
  • If sellers take orders, they must give a receipt with the seller's name, address and phone number.  It is recommended that the item(s) being ordered be written on the receipt, not just the amount of payment accepted.  NCAMOTC is not responsible for catalog or special orders taken by vendors.
  • The tables should be numbered and exhibitors assigned to their table. No table sharing.
  • Advise club/vendor participants of the above criteria prior to the Meeting/Convention.
  • Record all income from any monies raised and submit to the Convention Treasurer.
  • Submit a list of all vendors (including members) to Program Booklet Chair one month prior to your event.
  • File final report by deadline set by Convention Chair.
